Employment Application for On-site PC Technician

GigaParts has a solid reputation for fast and efficient onsite service. We require knowledgeable, professional, friendly, and flexible Technicians who can respond to a home or business and quickly diagnose and remedy network problems onsite. The ideal candidate is an experienced network builder and problem solver.

It is essential that the ideal candidate:

  • has experience with configuring routers, firewalls, servers and clients on networks
  • has experience diagnosing problems on networks
  • has experience configuring secure wireless access points
  • can communicate effectively in writing, in person, and over the phone
  • is able to acquire a General Amateur radio operator's license
  • actively gathers and shares knowledge
  • is punctual without fail
  • is detail oriented and insists on accuracy with every task
  • is not bothered by customers behaving badly and has experience in turning upset customers into Raving Fans
  • presents him/herself and GigaParts in a professional manner and appearance
  • is capable of tasks involving some physical exertion including lifting and carrying 60 pound computers, and safely climb ladders
  • can pass a drug test
  • has no criminal history
  • has good credit
  • enjoys learning

It is moderately important that the ideal candidate:

  • has A+, Network+ CompTIA certifications
  • has Microsoft Certified Professional certification
  • has experience installing and configuring backup solutions
  • has experience with remote management tools
  • is familiar with Digium VOIP systems
  • is familiar with Sophos UTM systems
  • is flexible with work and lunch hours
