Employment Application for Web Developer/Programmer

We are looking for a Web Developer / Programmer to work on a team that:

  • continuously adds and improves features on an e-Commerce website;
  • integrates our web-based ERP system with 3rd party systems such as receiving advanced shipping notices from suppliers via XML and passing that information along to our warehouse or providing inventory lists to our advertising partners;
  • develops reporting tools for managers and supervisors;
  • improves user interfaces in our web-based ERP systems with an eye toward intuitive, fast UIs that reduce training time and improve employee efficiency

The ideal candidate for this position:

  • has a passion for solving problems;
  • is proficient with and has a lot of experience with HTML, JavaScript, JSON, XML, PHP, and MySQL;
  • has some experience with connecting to external systems through third party APIs;
  • appreciates the importance of documenting code and building fool-proof user interfaces;
  • enjoys working in professional work environment as a member of a team;
  • has a desire to grow personally and professionally and takes criticism constructively;
  • is experienced in exercising mental self-discipline to stay focused and productive when it’s time to work;
  • is looking for a long term career with a business with a proven track record of continuous growth;
  • is reliable; and
  • enjoys helping others.

Candidates with these qualities would not be well suited for this position:

  • poor hygiene;
  • prefers to solve problems alone;
  • does their best work late at night;
  • has taken a class in HTML, but has little or no experience outside of that;
  • is merely looking for experience and training to prepare them for a job in a different type of business;

This position is a full time position with a typical schedule of Monday - Friday, 8:30am to 5:30pm. Salary ranges from $35k to $55k depending on experience, capabilities, and professionalism.
